It’s the third Wednesday of the month, so it’s time to meet October’s Reader Who Knits. DestiKNITters, meet Jan Hornstra.
Jan, what’s on your needles right now?
Churchmouse Classics Shoulder Cozy for ease and conversation & Fishtail Lace Scarf by Kristen Quain for quiet concentration.
What feels like your favorite/greatest knitting accomplishment?
A lace shawl for my daughter to use on her wedding day. It was the first time I knit a lace pattern and it took 4 tries before I got it right!
What feels like the worst knitting mistake/foible/wrong choice you’ve ever made?
The Taormina Circle Vest. I love the yarn, but not the way it’s knitting up. It’s still on the needles!
Straight or circular needles?
Metal or wood needles?
White chocolate, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate?
Coffee or tea?
What’s your favorite Allie novel?
What are you reading now?
Threads of The Departed Trilogy, Strands by M.A. Bonuso
Do you have a favorite knitting character from a book, movie, or television show (Allie books not included)?
Devereaux Sinclair from The Dimestore Mystery Series
Give a shout out to your favorite local yarn store:

For participating, Jan chose a copy of Bluegrass Hero for herself and a copy of Bluegrass Christmas for a friend. Thanks to our good friends at Cascade, she also gets ten hanks of Cascade 220 in Silver Gray and a nifty Cascade tote bag!
